    Description

    The next few years will be critical to Desjardins' position within the independent distribution networks and increasing its market share for investment solutions, and life and health insurance across Canada. To accomplish this, Desjardins will need to be well-positioned in independent distribution by offering quality and distinctive services to distribution partners. As the Regional Vice President (RVP), Ontario & Atlantic - Independent distribution, Individual Life Insurance you will play a key role in sales and business development for independent advisors that distribute DFS insurance products across Ontario & the Atlantic region and you will also play an influential leadership role nationally. You will be required to :

  • Oversee the development and growth of life and living benefits sales across networks
  • Oversee, develop and manage the sales team members who support independent distribution partners in the designated region
  • Implement, execute and monitor corporate directives and initiatives related to sales
  • Manage budgets
  • Deliver presentations
  • Manage and develop key partner relationships
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners

    • What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in the life insurance industry and three years management experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Independent distribution experience
  • Advanced markets experience
  • Holds a CFP - Certified Financial Planner, CLU - Chartered Life Underwriter, TEP- Tax Estate Practitioner
  • Advanced knowledge of life insurance and/or Tax & Estate Plannin
    • Communicates effectively, Drive results, Engagement, Interpersonal Savvy, Plans and aligns
