    About This Opportunity

    Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre (CRHCC) is looking for full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join their team. The Level 2 emergency department has been recently renovated and expanded, offering round-the-clock access to emergency services. CRHCC provides a wide range of primary and secondary services across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based programs.

    • Internal Medicine/ICU
    • General surgery
    • Obstetrics and Gynecology
    • Neonatal care
    • Diagnostic Imaging
    • Anesthesiology

    Responsibilities

    • provide leadership in resuscitation and stabilization of major trauma patients and critically ill individuals
    • assess and manage a wide range of emergency medicine cases from injuries to medical and surgical conditions of all ages, including mental health emergencies

    Expected Hours

    • Full-time positions entail a set number of hours per year, with rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Part-time opportunities are available, particularly for those interested in the hospitalist program or family medicine practices
    • The current shifts are either 4 or 8 hours long, with the possibility to combine shifts as needed

    Qualifications

    • All candidates must be eligible for licensure with the (CPSNS)
    • Family physicians must hold a membership with the (CFPC)
    • Specialists must be eligible for certification with the (RCPSC)
    • Membership with the (CMPA) is required
    • Candidates must possess current Certifications
    • For those without CCFP(EM) or FRCPC credentials, ACLS/ATLS/PALS and Advanced Airway certifications are mandatory
    • Training in ED US is highly desirable and supported by the department
