As a leader of the Carpentry team, you will be responsible for the completion of Landscape Carpentry and Renovation projects and play and integral part in the success of our Carpentry and Landscape Construction division.
You will be responsible for organizing the Carpentry team and other resources to achieve the timely, efficient completion of carpentry projects.
Your overall duties are to ensure efficient execution of the day-to-day tasks on site as well as providing supervision and direction to your team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing the safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/ or shop/yard
- Carpentry and Landscape Construction
- Outdoor Living Spaces, Custom Fences, Decks, Railings, Pergolas, Arbors, Retaining Walls, Concrete Forming and Placing and Renovations
- Working with various materials such as: Cedar, Pressure Treated, Composite, Tropical Hardwoods, Concrete and Metal
- Operate power equipment including, but not limited to: circular saws, drills, laser levels, cut off saws, tampers, jackhammers, excavators, skid steers, track loaders and other power tools
- Managing peers (dividing job tasks, working as a team)
- Managing or working with subcontractors
- Training apprentices and/or coworkers
- Recommending job improvements, alternative methods, etc. (problem solve)
- Knowledge of building codes and regulation
- Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscape construction environments, shop and equipment
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Comply with all company policies and regulations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Red Seal in Carpentry and asset or relative Training
- Minimum 35 years' experience in Carpentry and Landscape construction
- Knowledge and experience in Construction or Carpentry Practises
- Competent in the use of power tools for Carpentry and Landscape Construction
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various Landscape Construction and Carpentry practices
- Physically fit with strong stamina
- Ability to follow safe and working procedures
- Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Speak, read, and write English
- Valid drivers license
- Fall Arrest Training
- First Aid Certification an asset
Salary information:
$32-40 per hour (Salary is dependent on experience)

Salary:
$32.00-$40.00 per hour

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- carpentry: 3 years (preferred)
Landscape Construction: 2 years (preferred)
- concrete installation: 2 years (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (required)
