WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Our dynamic Communications & Legislative Relations department is looking for an up-and-coming communications professional to join the team. Reporting to the team lead, communications coordinators provide strategic and innovative support to help our organization meet our goals.

You will support a team of advisors with their portfolio of clients and provide tactical support to execute diverse projects and initiatives.

You will also develop and implement your own communication plans that help achieve the organization's objectives, while having some fun along the way.

Additionally, you will write stories and articles for internal and external publications and help create fresh, engaging content for WCB's digital communication channels (e.g., intranet, website and social media pages).

You will have the opportunity to be creative and build trusting, collaborative relationships-both with our team and the internal clients you'll help serve.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

To be successful in the role you will have a degree or diploma in communications, public relations, journalism or related field, plus one to three years of progressively responsible experience in communications in a large organization.

Exceptional customer service, writing, verbal and planning skills are essential, and the ability to innovate and be creative will set you up for success.

Knowledge of the Canadian Press (CP) stylebook is great too.

Start Rate:
$61,139 to

Job Rate:
$71,904

This is a temporary, full-time position maternity leave coverage for approximately one year.
