Our University division is seeking a positive, dynamic and highly professional individual to fill the role of
Dishwasher for our Trinity Western University Location_._ The Dishwasher will accurately and efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, cooking equipment, and working stations.

This position offers excellent potential to grow and develop your skills, so a willingness to learn and grow is essential.

General Responsibilities:

Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas.
Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
Unloading and storing deliveries.
Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.
Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
Follows all Company, client and regulatory rules and procedures.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies, procedures and initiatives, including HACCP policies and procedures.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent
1 to 2 years of related work experience, including extensive food preparation experience
Ability to communicate with coworkers and other departments with professionalism and respect
Familiarity of kitchen equipment.
Intermediate to advanced knife skills required.
Proven ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Specific Skills and Requirements:

Bilingualism (English / French) may be required / is an asset.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and some holidays.
Ability to see objects at both close and long range, and to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses
Comfortable doing a significant amount of walking.
Ability to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. May use mechanical aids to lift more than 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in an environment with a moderate to loud noise level.
