Group Benefits Analyst - 6 month contract

**Description: - Temporary Full Time- We are looking for a creative and energetic Group Benefits Analyst to meet profit and growth objectives by considering industry, economic outlook, administrative requirements, financial arrangements and historical experience. You will join a creative, collaborative, and innovative team to improve the customer experience and determine what Canada Life can offer.
What you will do

  • Support a block of inforce large and/or complex Group Benefits clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and be attentive to their needs so that they are excited to do business with Canada Life
  • Analyzing data, identifying plan design and making basic pricing decisions to assist in driving new sales and renewing existing employee benefit plans
  • Respond to requests for pricing plan amendments
  • Recommend plan design and product solutions to Account Managers through the analysis of client claiming patterns and within a financial advisors' book of business
  • Prepare experience analyses on all benefits (Life, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Health and Dental benefits) based on experience information provided
  • Tracking management report requirements for the office ensuring that the information compiled can be utilized by management to make sound business decisions and achieve regional objectives
  • Collaboration with regional sales office teams and head office staff (i.e. underwriting and reporting areas) is essential to the success and development of the role

What you will bring

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of group insurance and thorough knowledge of group life insurance, healthcare insurance, disability insurance, and underwriting
  • Designation of C.A.A.S. [certified group benefits advisor], GBA (Group Benefits Associate), or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is a significant asset
  • Excellent mathematical skills and financial aptitude
  • Ability to act quickly and put forward innovative solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast‐evolving environment and adapt to growth and change
  • Strong organization and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously often with scheduled deadlines
  • Underwriting and/or Group Life & Health Insurance experience is a definite asset
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving ability
  • Undergraduate diploma or equivalent
  • Strong team commitment and collaboration skills
  • Ability to show initiative and be selfmotivated
  • Dedication to continual learning and selfdevelopment
  • Good verbal and written skills as well as customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills especially in Excel, Word, Salesforce, PowerPoint, and MS Teams

  • The base salary for this position is between
    $48,600:
  • $72,900** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
