This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact


The Sales Representative will participate in face to face and remote selling to the company's new and existing customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels in West and North of London, Ontario.

In this role, you will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions, and will represent the company in the industry (feed mills and veterinarians).

Key Accountabilities

Develop strong client relationship with each customer (farmers) account.
Manage chick order for the hatchery and processing contracts for the plant.
Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information to senior staff.
Support and manage programs (animal welfare, NAIHM, enrichment) for final customers.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma/Certificate or bachelor's degree
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Possess a valid Canadian drivers licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employment.
Able to travel 80% covering West and North of London, Ontario territory
Experience or knowledge working with farmers
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong troubleshooting skills and able to build good relationship with customers
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge or experience working with poultry
Understanding or knowledge of agriculture practices, and supply management
