WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead the preparation of working papers for the monthend close process including multicurrency consolidation and fund reporting.
  • Coach, mentor, oversee and review the work of reporting analysts.
  • Oversee and execute on the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated and nonconsolidated financial statements, including required note disclosures under IFRS for various stakeholders and for external financial statements audit.
  • Coordinate, provide support, address, and respond to queries from auditors, executives, and other internal departments such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Operational Accounting/Controllership, Asset Management, etc.
  • Responsible for technical accounting research related to the Company's financial statements, including staying current on reporting standard developments, evaluating, and implementing new accounting standard pronouncements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline and further develop reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Investment Teams to analyze operational changes, decisions, and their impact on financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of partnership and corporate income returns.
  • Oversee the bank reconciliation and GL reconciliation.
  • Prepare adhoc reports and other duties as assigned.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, and CPA designation are required (international designation may be considered).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in financial leadership role, while supervising a team is required.
  • Experience with multicurrency consolidation is required.
  • Experience with preparation of note disclosures for the audited financial statements under IFRS is required.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Experience with real estate industry is considered an asset.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a crossfunctional team.
  • Ability to multitask and be comfortable in a highpaced, fast changing environment, while leading a team and adapting to changing priorities
  • Ability to recognize and communicate efficiency opportunities and implement new processes.
