We are seeking an
Investment Analyst to join our National Investment Team in support of our Group Retirement Solutions' (GRS) internal and external stakeholders.

The Investment Analyst will:

Request data needed for quarterly performance reports and analyze individual fund performance vs benchmark and peers.
Produce accurate and detailed client reports through analysis of clientspecific investment data, in support of consulting colleagues.
Provide technical review of work done by others to as part of the team's quality control process.
Respond to routine investment queries from Consultants and clients.
Liaise with clients and consultants to distribute quarterly reports or other requested information.
Liaise with investment managers as needed.
Become an expert with the tools and software being used.
Automate the investment reports as much as possible and minimize manual inputs.
Utilize a continuous improvement process mindset from quarter to quarter.
Contribute to ad hoc projects
Assist with the training and development of new team members as required
Ensure any leads are identified and communicated to the appropriate team members
Participate in meeting with investment managers and carriers as necessary to enhance the team's knowledge and awareness of what's happening with a fund's performance or current events.
Stay current with market developments and key economic events and provide updates to teammates, GRS, and others as relevant.
Provide research and analysis support to GRS team on specialty investments and funds.

To be successful as an Investment Analyst with People Corporation, you will need:

Strong technical skills
progress towards CFA, ACIA or other investment certification is desirable.
Advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent clientfocus and professional acumen
Experience with investments and performance monitoring for institutional Defined Contribution Plans
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures
Ability to use tact and discretion to maintain information in the strictest of confidence
Solid working knowledge of MS Word, and PowerPoint
Familiar with Morningstar Direct and eVestment software
Experience with alternative asset classes is desirable
Experience presenting investment results to clients is desirable
Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
