Job Description

Banquet Server

Be a part of a spectacular event As a Banquet Server with Fairmont Vancouver Airport, you will create a special event that our Guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team player, combined with your service skills and your engaging personality, will ensure that our Guests have a memorable experience.

What you will be doing:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way

Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings

Responsible for setup and teardown of all meetings and events

Have full knowledge of beverage lists

Have full knowledge of all menu items being served

Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards

Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage

To maximize working hours, must be willing to assist throughout Food & Beverage division (In-Room Dining & Outlets)

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team

Must possess and maintain a valid Serving it Right Certification

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout shift

Constant lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
