Job Description:

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for the operation of our Ricoh Pro C7100X printer to ensure the efficient production and completion of assigned projects.

The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers and all responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Way.

Major Responsibilities:

Monitor equipment during operation to maintain copy quality.
Ability to precisely follow designs, drawings and layouts.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a high degree of quality
Establish and maintain effective team relationships to deliver high quality and on time work.
Maintain a clean work area.
Ability to follow all company policies and procedures.
May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.

Qualifications:

Typically requires completion of a postsecondary program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Comfortable working in a warehouse

Nice to Have:

Proficiency level with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop
Well versed in PC and Mac environments
Experience using print shop finishing equipment such as a laminator and guillotine
Experience working with a digital press and wide format printers
Experience with Fiery and other print manager software and RIP engines
Experience with ICC profiles and colour match software will be considered an asset

Work & Sensory Environment:

Lack of control over pace due to multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond one's control
Exposure to noise in warehouse office environment
Ability to stand continuously
Repetitive and/or precise hand/finger movements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
