About the Role
The purpose of this role is to optimize Amii digital marketing strategies.

Reporting to the
Marketing Specialist - Product, the
Digital Marketing Associate is accountable for implementing digital marketing strategies that drive demand for Amii's product offerings.

The role focuses on achieving excellence in three main accountabilities:

  • Implementation of digital marketing strategies.
  • Optimizing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Tracking and reporting on digital marketing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Research:Help position Amii as a market leader by staying on top of and sharing relevant digital marketing trends within the MARCOM team.

Positioning: Develop a deep understanding of what Amii does, who our products are for, and how the products solve customer pain points in ways other solutions don't.

Planning: Understand the journey people take to become customers of the various Amii products. Collaborate with internal departments (design, content, digital, product, sales) to implement digital marketing tactics that move people from awareness to consideration and evaluation. Help the team deepen their understanding of the journey our audiences take to become customers of the various Amii products by providing regular data insights.

Content Marketing: Think like a niche media company. Support the implementation of a calendar of content marketing strategies that act like a magnet attracting the right people to Amii. Work towards making Amii the go-to information source for prospective and current funders, customers, students, researchers, media, etc.

Web: Research, write, edit and create web content. Identify opportunities and methods to increase web traffic and rankings in search results and increase conversion on web landing pages. Monitor website performance and use data analytics to continually optimize Amii-owned websites.

Copywriting: Write, edit and optimize content based on set campaign goals. Frame messages in a clear, concise, and compelling way.

Content Creation: Support the creation of content that is authentic, educational, inspiring, and entertaining, never self-centred or sales-y. Content that Amii staff, students, partners, and customers are excited to share on their personal social media accounts.

Evaluation: Tell stories that drive business outcomes. Contribute to campaign performance reporting by delivering data-informed analysis and recommendations.

Optimization:Continually test and optimize digital marketing channels. Use appropriate data to identify and recommend actions for improving conversion across digital tactics. Maintain and improve digital campaign development guidelines and processes to improve efficiency


Required Qualifications:


  • 23 years of experience in communications, marketing and/or public relations
  • 23 years of handson:
  • CMS experience (we use Wagtail, Shopify, Pheedloop, Squarespace, etc.)
  • CMR experience (we use HubSpot)
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Basic SEO skills (optimizing titles, meta descriptions, working with onpage SEO, etc.)
  • Postsecondary education in a related discipline (Marketing, Communications, Production/Stage Management, Arts/Film Management)
