Department Overview


Residing within the TD Enterprise Protect organization, the Technology team for Global Anti-Money Laundering, Global Security Investigations, Legal and Compliance is reponsible for the delivery and support of technology solutions for the respective business areas.

Given the ongoing pace of regulatory change and ongoing importance of risk management, this is a fast-growing area within the bank translating into considerable demand and growth within its technology teams.

TD Applications & Systems Development covers technical planning, integration, systems analysis, design, development, unit and component systems testing, support-maintenance, and more. Meaningful, effective relationship-building is part of what these highly-skilled experts do best as they work together with technology project managers, delivery partners, business and systems analysts, testing and quality assurance teams, sponsors and so many other stakeholders to clarify requirements. About This Role

Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Work with vendors and TD technology solution designers to ensure systems are designed appropriately to meet data processing, reporting and audit requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the AML business to understand data requirements and strategic needs and ensure that data solutions are strategically aligned to AML and Enterprise direction
  • Support leadership team in strategically planning and building stronger data processes across the portfolio. program, build technical and governance capability across all aspects of data analytics and modeling.
  • Grow team expertise and organizational capabilities.
  • Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management, team leadership, input into performance assessments and development plans.

Job Requirements

It helps if you have:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
  • 10+ years' experience.
  • Complete understanding and expertise with Data warehouse technologies including Database Management Systems, BI Tools and ETLs.
  • Advanced knowledge of business, standards, infrastructure, architecture and technology from a design/support/ solutions perspective.
  • Expert knowledge of business processes and procedures, as well as broader organizational issues and technology.
  • Strong communication skills with senior business and technology audiences with ability to translate technical concepts into easytounderstand business language
  • Extensive functional and technical knowledge of advanced analytics processes (building automated processes for data acquisition and analysis), systems and methods for prevention, detection and management of financial crimes.
  • Ability to assume a senior role requiring significant people management experience and specialized knowledge of advanced data analytics within the context of a global bank.

Additional Information

  • At TD we support a hybrid working model with a focus on ensuring an onsite presence for moments that matter. Due to the nature of the role there is a requirement for on site presence averaging 2 days/week.
