We are seeking an exceptional
Physician Assistant to provide high quality, compassionate care to our patients and work collaboratively with our Cardiologists and other healthcare professionals in the management and treatment of _complex_ cardiovascular cases to ensure the best patient experience out of any other medical clinic in Canada.

Responsibilities:

Working under the direct supervision of the assigned Cardiologist, and in accordance with the delegated medical act, the principal responsibilities of the PA may include but are not limited to the following:

Conduct patient interviews
Take medical histories
Perform physical examinations
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Diagnose and treat illness
Provide medical orders and prescriptions within the scope of practice
Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Counsel on preventative health care
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Administrative duties as deemed necessary for efficient clinic operation

Education and Qualifications:

Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) and/or American Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Current member of the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA)
Minimum, three (3) years practical and related work experience
Strong foundation in cardiology and cardiovascular disease management
Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Able to provide patient focused provision of service
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently, professional and courteous
Ability to use good judgement with excellent decisionmaking and problemsolving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with all One Heart Care team members
Ability to use the information technology provided
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EPIC and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Working knowledge of EPIC and/or Cerebrum an asset.
Adherence to PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act)
