The position designs, writes, tests, installs, and supports low to medium complexity business software and program specifications, and may analyze and develop solutions for specific client/business needs. The position solves problems within framework of technical knowledge and established guidelines. Work is performed under supervision and reviewed upon completion. Tasks of lower complexity may be performed independently.
Non standard techniques or recommendations for action on complex problems are referred to supervisor.- The analyst understands customer requirements with direction and executes assignments to meet specifications.
The analyst recognizes own contribution to customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:
- An Analyst will enhance/maintain business relationships with customers, typically by:
- Designing, writing, testing, installing, and supporting business software and program specifications.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and suggesting improvements to systems, products, etc.
- Analyzing and developing solutions/proposals for specific/assigned client/business needs.
- Completing documentation for all design/development assignments.
- Providing technical guidance and training to other staff and customers.
- Developing sound knowledge of computer fundamentals; structured analysis, design, and programming techniques; and specific operating systems & environments, and supported products & services in the Systems Operations area
Qualifications:
- University Degree, or diploma from a two year program in Computer Science/Data Processing, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Some knowledge of computer fundamentals; structured analysis, design, and programming techniques; and current operating systems & environments.
- Ability to develop structured programs or procedures.
- Ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems.
- Good interpersonal organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
- Skills and abilities acceptable to the client
Key Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with JavaScript, C#, HTML, CSS and ReactJS are essential
- Experience with various frameworks/technologies including but not limited to: jQuery, Node.
- Experience with Jenkins and/or Ansible will be an asset.
- Experience with unit testing, utilizing Jest, Karma, Mocha, or related ability to work in an Agile environment.
