  • Monitoring contract budgets and schedules, including hourly rate and firm price contracts.
  • Supervising and coordinates the work of multiple contractors on site with respect to safety, quality of works, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, and design documents
  • Ensuring that Wood and client Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) programs are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • Monitoring schedule and quantities of work completed, identifying mitigation strategies where required.
  • Daily field inspection and associated reports.
  • Coordinating site wide interfaces with multiple contractors.
  • Assisting the Wood and Contractor team in the development of construction planning, reporting and methodology.
  • Ensuring Wood team members as well as interfacing team members have a clear understanding of project and management requirements.
  • Ensuring the quality control requirements are met during the construction phase.
  • Regular communication / work collaboratively with Owner's Project Team
  • Support Contract Administrators and Construction Manager through recommendations on issues and concerns regarding performance of contracted work.
  • Driving the turnover process by interfacing with a broad spectrum of project wide teams and through the assembly of completion packages, checklists and other construction records
  • Steward receipt and storage of materials and equipment as well as preservation and maintenance of same.
  • 10 to 15 years directly relevant progressive experience (with 5 years supervisory experience) in the industrial mechanical construction industry is required
  • Must have experience in heavy industrial construction environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications
  • Strong background in regard to mechanical, inspection, testing requirements and procedures and knowledge of piping codes, specifications and standards
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a large project team environment is required.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Graphing, Access)
  • Ability to work within a team environment and on individual projects
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
