As part of our Production team, our Sanitation Team Lead is responsible for or overseeing and coordinating the day to day all activities of the sanitation team ensuring precise adherence to cannabis sanitation standards and contributing to a clean and safe working environment.

As our Sanitation Team Lead, you play a key role in implementing sanitation procedures ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained adequately and with consistency.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Sanitation Program Management

  • Oversee, facilitate, and work with the sanitation team and related departments in ensuring the sanitation programs of the facility is maintained. This includes meeting Good Production Practises (GPP) and relevant regulations at Pure Sunfarms
  • Oversee and perform the cleanup activities of equipment and facilities
  • Assist in training sanitation team on proper cleaning and sanitation processes as per SSOPs
  • Assist in implementing newly developed sanitation programs
  • Assist supervisor to carry out cleaning validation studies in accordance with quality department
  • Inspect and access the cleanliness of rooms & equipment's using ATP swabs to maintain high hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to address sanitationrelated concerns and coordinate activities
  • Report any sanitation issues or noncompliance to Sanitation Supervisor and recommend corrective actions
  • Motivate and coach team members to maintain high standards of performance

Cannabis Sanitation Requirements & Compliance**- Ensure compliance with cannabis sanitation protocols, Health Canada Sanitation requirements and safety regulations

  • Complete and maintain document and report all sanitation documentation according to Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP) standards

Chemical Management & Safety**- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of sanitation equipment

  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring an adequate supply at all times
  • Train staff on the safe and proper use of sanitation equipment and chemicals
  • Ensure safety practices are followed by employees when handling chemicals
  • Ensure all Sanitation team members know, understand, and follow all Health & Safety procedures
  • Lead by example to foster a safe working environment

    WORK STATUS
  • This is an onsite role, working in or supporting operations and working collaboratively with crossfunctional teams across the business.
The scheduled shifts and hours for this role is as follow:
Monday - Friday night shift 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM.

Your Experience

  • 2+ year of experience in sanitation role is required or cleaning role
  • Supervisory experience overseeing production staff is considered an asset
  • Solid Knowledge of sanitation regulations and best practices Experience in manufacturing, production, food processing or other fastmoving consumer goods industry

Your Approach & Strengths

  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectuate high cleanliness standards
  • Familiarity with relevant equipment and chemicals used in sanitation processes
  • Familiar with practices like GMP & HACCP in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to lift 3040 pounds, work standing up for long periods and perform repetitive motions in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in maintaining food safety system is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Punjabi language an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize duties to meet deadlines and can adapt to unexpected priorities
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the cannabis sanitation process is considered an asset

  • Must have the ability to maintain and pass an RCMP criminal record check and obtain a security clearance.
