Supply Chain Team Lead - Port Coquitlam, Canada - Wesgar
Description
The Supply Chain Lead role is responsible for directing, optimizing, and coordinating the full order cycle for all Wesgar projects to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
This includes liaising and negotiating with manufacturers, retailers, and subcontractors to deliver Wesgar products and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong positive rapport with vendors.
- Negotiate with vendors for the benefit of the company's profitability.
- Work with vendors to ensure product availability, establish confirmed scheduled, resolve pricing issues, and solve other vendor related issues before issue escalates.
- Study the full product lines, becoming an expert in product knowledge.
- Seek out new products that will help increase the company's profitability.
- Work with Sales team on the trends and needs of the company.
- Work in compliance with the corporate SOP and legal regulations;
- Performs other duties as requested by Senior Management
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- BS/BA in Bus Admin or major in related curriculum; plus 5 years of experience as a supply chain manager and 5 years of experience as buyer/planner
- Experience in a Procurement department in the manufacturing environment
- Experience in ERP's (SAP, EPICOR, ORACLE)
