Position Overview
Reporting to the CEO, the VP Operations is accountable for overseeing all aspects of our beekeeping operations.

Their primary responsibilities include maintaining a high level of quality across all local operations and empowering a competent, highly-trained team of managers in meeting their respective department goals and objectives.

It is a permanent, full-time management position in accordance with Alvéole's current policies.

Role and responsibilities

Manage the Regional Managers, Fulfilment Manager, Partnerships Manager and Beekeeping Team Coordinator.
Participate and collaborate in the company's strategic planning, and lead the operational strategic planning to support the company's business objectives.
Lead and manage all team and individual meetings, as well as quarterly/annual objectives with employees from each department.
Accountable for the P&L of the entire operations department.
Accompany and support team members in their autonomous decisionmaking regarding the development, planning and improvement of their city's operations, as well as their professional development within the organisation.
Constantly improve internal systems and procedures.
Provide all necessary training for the respective departments.
Continuously improve operational procedures for beekeeping operations; includes, maintenance of hives, extraction operations, product & quality control.
Maintain a high level of quality across all cities through a quality assurance program, with its Quality Assurance team.
Manage human resources as the highlevel manager of this team.

Required skills

Bachelor's degree in administration, management or a related field
Ten (10) years in a management position
Experience in strategic planning and team engagement
Rapid understanding of relevant issues and proficiency with deployment

Excellent verbal communication skills
Initiative, creativity and rigour
Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy and stress management
Good problemsolving skills
Beekeeping experience is a big plus
Knowledge of the Mac (Apple) environment and Google tools
Mastery of the Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Bilingualism (written and spoken French and English, as direct reports are in Canada, USA and Europe)
