Reporting to the Director, Talent and Leadership Development, you will help define the learning and development vision for the entire company.

You will be responsible for mobilizing and coordinating a team of seasoned professionals to foster growth and support the professional development of iA Financial Group employees.


Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and coach a team of advisors to build an innovative, agile value proposition that meets the company's current and future needs
  • Act as a manager & coach and be responsible for the professional development and performance appraisal of your team
  • Ensure that daily meetings (DMS) are conducted effectively and ensure that team members take responsibility for problem solving
  • Help build and maintain a collaborative environment within the team
  • Be decisive on complex issues by ensuring consistency with strategies, priorities and processes
  • Define the objectives to be achieved and provide effective learning solutions that meet those needs
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with internal and external partners in order to foster collaboration on projects
  • Manage the capacity of key largescale projects and ensure that operational objectives and requirements are clearly established
  • Assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives and the status of their progress, provide recommendations and adapt as needed
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies, new trends/market innovations in terms of skills and learning, in collaboration with practice leaders
Desired profile

  • University degree in a relevant program (teaching, educational technology, educational counselling sciences, human resources, andragogy, etc.)
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in learning strategy and skill development, including at least 3 years in people management
  • Excellent language skills in French, both oral and written, for frequent interactions speaking colleagues and partners across Canada
  • Experience in project management, planning and budgeting
  • Indepth knowledge of measurement and the use of data in learning and development
  • Understanding of the market, the environment and the everchanging needs
  • Experience with various technological tools in the area of training (e.g., lMS, storytelling, design thinking, Workday, etc.) would be an asset
  • Strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team spirit, ability to mobilize teams and foster collaborative work
  • Resultsoriented mentality and a strong sense of adaptability
  • Excellent management of priorities and workload
  • Exercise good judgment
