    Randstad Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Purchase Manager for a well-reputable manufacturing company in south Winnipeg

    Do you have previous experience as a Purchase Manager? Do you have previous experience in Manufacturing or Heavy Equipment? Do you enjoy sourcing parts and hunting for the best deal? Are you looking for a casual family-like company culture where you can put down roots? Are you able to manage competing priorities? Do have a sense of urgency and are a good problem solver? Do you have great leadership experience and able to manage a team of buyers?

    Responsibilities

    • Managing the daytoday operations in the purchasing department
    • Leading and Managing a team of buyers
    • Maintain and develop vendor relationships
    • Negotiate pricing and establish costreduction strategies
    • Database management
    • Working closely with internal departments on new designs and prototypes
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar Purchase Manager role ideally in the manufacturing/heavy equipment industry
    • Very organized, efficient and resourceful
    • Ability to juggle competing priorities and lead a team of purchasers
    • Outstanding work ethic with a great sense of urgency
    • Great communication and interpersonal skills
    • Techsavvy good knowledge of MS Office products especially Excel as well as AS400 would be considered an asset
    • Strategic planning experience with a focus on cost savings
