- Hold a Certificate of Registration in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Not have been employed as a nurse in Ontario in the six months prior to being hired;
- Begin employment no later than March 31, 2024.
- Commit to 2-years of employment at a full-time work schedule offered by the employer; and
- Not simultaneously receive funds from the Ministry of Health for the Tuition Support Program for Nurses.
- Membership with RNAO / WeRPN
- Current First Aid/ CPR/ BCLS Certification
- Successful completion of the Physical Readiness Test (PRT) to ensure safe work practices are followed (transfers, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling).
- A valid Ontario driver's license (G License) and a reliable vehicle for traveling are required for some programs

We are seeking Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses for the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) (Full-Time roles)
About CCPN :
The Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible nurses in exchange for a two-year commitment to VHA Home HealthCare.

About the VHA programs:
The Adult Visiting program services clients who are 18 years old and above and require complex care and specialized nursing skills to be supported at home. Referrals come through HCCSS, and nurses cover the Durham, Toronto Central, and Central regions in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a visiting nurse opportunity, traveling and driving are required.
The Palliative Care program provides home nursing services for end-of-life care individuals, families, and groups. Nurses will enhance the quality of care for palliative clients with an emphasis on effective symptom and pain management to improve their overall quality of life. Nurses cover the Durham, Scarborough, Central, and Toronto Central areas. This is a visiting nurse opportunity, traveling and driving are required.
The Child and Family program services families who are caring for children with medically complex needs (CCMN). The clients are from 1 to 25 years old and require specialized care and nursing skills at home or in a school setting (bus escorts for school and attending medical appointments with clients (with LHIN approval). This program has both shift and visiting nurse opportunities.
