Ambient is our customers' single-source contractor for their Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Automation requirements.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager for our Construction Department Team.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in:


  • Managing large construction projects
  • Coordinating large mechanical installations on existing buildings
  • Working in highrise residential and commercial buildings
  • Working in and with multiple disciplines, ex. pipe fitting, sheet metal, building automation, electrical, rigging, etc.
  • Working with mechanical drawings, shop drawings, asbuilt drawings, and specs
  • Working in OCSA
  • Working with Contact Resource Management (CRM) software
  • Working with Project Management software (ex. Procore or equivalent)
  • Working with Microsoft Project, and proficient in Gantt Charts and Microsoft Excel

Reporting to the Construction Department Manager, the HVAC Project Manager oversees retrofit projects to confirm the proper design, product and installations are recommended, quoted, and delivered.


Project Manager Duties Include:

  • Identify labour, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Compute costs by analyzing labour, materials, and time requirements
  • Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data on CRM
  • Conduct takeoffs
  • Attend lifts
  • Investigate and quote special projects
  • Attend site meetings
  • Act as Project Coordinator on ongoing projects
