Job Description Summary:


Are you well-versed in Project Management Methodology? Are you looking to align yourself with an innovative, purpose-driven organization that supports life science research? This is a unique opportunity to join a newly-formed PMO to lead a variety of projects within the Information Systems (IS) business unit, but impacting business groups across the organization.


Projects will vary in scale, scope, and nature from net new system implementations, system integrations, AWS and cloud migrations, through to physical infrastructure implementations in our state-of-the-art facilities.


For each project, you will ensure deliverables are completed on time and on budget, while ensuring projects are delivering business value.

You will communicate and liaise with all levels of staff and management across the business, as well as with consultants, vendors and others as needed to facilitate consensus, consult, negotiate and share information.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and thoroughly document all aspects of each project and ensure deliverables are met, while adhering to defined timelines and controls
  • Execute project plans according to project methodologies, ensuring successful and coordinated completion of project components, on time and on budget
  • Ensure formal project structures are being upheld by all team members
  • Diagnose, evaluate and report potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, and execute appropriate plans to contain them
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and inspire and influence others to achieve goals and deliverables
  • Proactively identify opportunities to deliver greater business value at all stages of the project

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 610 years of relevant experience driving a variety of technologyrelated projects, such as net new implementations, enterprise system upgrades and integrations, cloud migration, infrastructure rollouts, etc.
  • Strong ability to lead by influence; facilitating and collaborating with crossfunctional stakeholders spanning various business units and with potentially competing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget and risk analysis and management, and resource allocation
  • Proven success in working in dynamic but highperforming environments, while helping stakeholders and project members adopt and adhere to standard processes and best practices
