    1. Purpose of the Position

    • Perform chemical or physical analyses of raw materials, finished products, packaging materials, and stabilities by known and official methods to determine product quality or monitor manufacturing processes.
    • Conduct analyses related to laboratory activities ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, GMP, GLP, and other relevant standards.
    • Participate in laboratory activities related to method qualifications, manufacturing processes, equipment, and residue analysis.

    2. Main Functions

    • Conduct chemical, physical, and instrumental analyses following approved methods to determine product quality or monitor manufacturing processes.
    • Ensure proper follow-up on chemical analyses.
    • Meticulously document analyses following standards and procedures in place.
    • Participate in analytical method transfers and service projects.
    • Engage in special projects as required by the department.
    • Contribute to procedure drafting when necessary.
    • Maintain technical qualifications and knowledge of current methods and procedures.
    • Calibrate equipment according to appropriate programs and standards.
    • Work in compliance with GMP, GLP, and HSE standards.
    • Maintain a clean workstation per GLP and HSE requirements.
    • Ensure availability of necessary equipment for task execution.

    3. Management Responsibility

    Perform laboratory chemical or physical analyses for different products and projects, managing analytical tasks and their execution. Act as a resource during analytical challenges or regarding laboratory instruments.

    4. Knowledge and Skills Required:
    a) Required Training
    Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry-Biology, or Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry.

    b) Languages
    French and English.

    c) Experience and Specific Knowledge
    3-5 years of experience in analysis laboratories.
    Experience in pharmaceutical analysis laboratories.
    Familiarity with Canadian and international GMP/GLP standards.
    Excellent knowledge of analytical techniques and laboratory instruments.

    d) Specific Technical Skills
    Analytical Chemistry.
    Laboratory Instrumentation.
    Metrology.
    Management Information Systems (LIMS, etc.).
