- A Recreation Technician provides support for various events, programs and
Duties - Union
- Maintains a variety of computerized records, databases, systems, schedules, bookings and rentals, using standard and specialized software.
- Updates and maintains a variety of manuals, forms and documents.
- Responds to public inquiries and works cooperatively to provide quality customer service.
- Interacts with the public, community groups, contractor instructors, volunteers and staff regarding programs, activities, tournaments, special events, and facility and field rentals.
- Purchases and maintains an inventory of program supplies and equipment.
- Under the direction of a Community Recreation Coordinator, assists with recruiting, training, and evaluation of registered volunteers.
- Opens and closes facilities; sets up/takes down equipment for programs, activities, tournaments and special events (i.e. tables and chairs, net systems, AV equipment, etc.)
- Assists with the planning and delivery of programs, activities, tournaments and special events, including preparation of brochures and other promotional material.
- Performs basic maintenance and repairs on weight room equipment.
- Under the direction of a manager, assists with the coalition of the quarterly Activity & Program Guide information, as well as updates to the Sport andRecreation web page information.
