This role will be responsible for the appropriate and timely receiving and shipping of semi-finished products from our local machine shop and other suppliers, both domestic and offshore.

Inherent in these activities is the necessary documentation control including accuracy of product inventory.

This role will involve spending approximately 70% of your time in the Warehouse where you will manage inventory, and the remaining 30% of your time at a computer to coordinate subcontractor activities.

The ability to drive and be certified to drive a forklift is mandatory (training provided).

This role operates out of our facility at 756 Bishop Street in Cambridge, ON. Hours of work are 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate & maintain subcontracting schedule (sending parts out for secondary activities such as painting, blasting, welding, etc.)
  • Receives, unpacks, inspects, and stores incoming materials and supplies
  • Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment (staging) including creating pick lists & packing slips
  • Liaises with Procurement Department to ensure product flow to meet customer demand
  • Uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders
  • Documents damaged goods and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation
  • Maintains accurate product inventory accuracy, documentation and location through regular controlled processes (including FIFO and cycle
counting) in warehouse under realm of control

  • Searches for ways of improving efficiencies and product flow
  • Other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 12 years of experience in a Warehouse or Shipping/Receiving role
  • 12 years of experience working with ERP/WMS, including data entry, searching inventory database, printing order details and labels
  • Forklift experience and ability to be certified on Accucam equipment required (training will be provided)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent organization and timemanagement skills
