ABOUT SIGFUSSON NORTHERN:

***: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Foreman is responsible for the daily operations of an assigned crew while being directly responsible for safety, production and adherence to company policies and procedures. This position is based out of
Elkhorn, MB and requires flexible working hours. Typical shift schedule is 5/2, but may vary based on project requirements.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:


  • Daily communications with the client and management team regarding project updates
  • Schedule and assign tasks based on project requirements and needs
  • Supervise, lead and mentor the assigned crew on a daily basis
  • Ensure all crew members receive the proper training
  • Adhere to all Sigfusson Northern policies and procedures while leading by example
  • Ensure crew members quality of work meets specifications and project requirements
  • Conduct hazard assessments and communicate all findings with the crew immediately
  • Review and sign FLHA cards required from the crew
  • Completeproficiency forms for the crew as required
  • Client management as needed
  • Complete and submit crew timecards on a daily basis
  • Complete and submit field tickets for client approval on a daily basis
  • Evaluate the site environment and communicate potential improvements and concerns in a timely manner

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Minimum 5+ years of field experience in oilfield construction is required
  • Train the Trainer and other supervisory training will be considered an asset
  • Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
  • Critical thinking and effective decisionmaking skills are required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as electronically
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Must always keep safety a top priority
  • First Aid & CPR, Ground Disturbance Level II and H2S Alive training is required
  • Additional safety training such as hazard identification, accident investigation etc. will be considered an asset.
