Description:

TELUS Health is looking for a full-time, permanent Fitness, Recreation & Wellness Consultant to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team at a corporate fitness and recreation facility located in Woodstock.

This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

We are looking for someone to work the following hours:
Monday - Thursday 10am-6:00pm and Friday 6:00am-2:00pm (40 hours/week total)

This position starts April 3, 2023.

You will be responsible for creating personalized fitness programs for members, teaching a variety of group exercise classes (onsite and virtually), conducting presentations, monitoring the facility usage, planning and running special events, providing customer service within the fitness facility, and creating, promoting and implementing a variety of fitness, recreation & wellness programs and services to all employees.

Here's how

Providing exceptional customer service
Creation of individual/group fitness programs/personal training and assisting members with their health, wellness & fitness goals
Assisting in the coordination of health promotion events and fitness/wellness programming (challenges, promotions, presentations)
Lead meditations and stretch breaks
Facilitate wellness presentations
Instructing onsite and virtual fitness classes and monitoring participation
Creating and assisting with the development of virtual fitness and wellness programs
Monitoring gym use to provide guidance and ensure safety of gym members
Administration duties (membership renewal, event registration, statistics, quality assurance etc.)
Equipment maintenance management
Marketing fitness, recreation and wellness events
Content creation/management of social media platforms (Instagram/FaceBook)
Planning and implementing special events (tournaments, leagues, family events, health fairs, etc.)
Reporting of monthly and/or quarterly usage stats
Facilitate the completion of GAQ screening forms and waivers for new members and annually

Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion
Current certifications in personal training and CPR/First Aid/AED
Fitness instructor certification is preferred
Energetic, confident, reliable/dependable, professional, positive, engaging and exemplifies fitness and health
High degree of selfmotivation and initiative
Strong organization and time management skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong computer skills
Experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field an asset
