Job Summary:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor RFP aggregator sites and customer procurement sites for upcoming bid opportunities.
- Facilitate bid/nobid calls along with the sales rep.
- Take the lead on the RFP requirements and work with the sales rep to ensure it is distributed to the relevant team members for completion.
- Book and facilitate RFP kickoff calls and regular status calls with the sales rep and team.
- Simultaneously manage multiple RFP responses on tight schedules and under elevated pressure.
- Perform writing and editing duties to ensure proposal responses are compliant, clear,
- Work independently or cross functionally with other departments to assist in creating responses for proposals that highlight our value proposition as it relates to the customers' goals and requirements.
- Enforce approved style guidelines and ensure a consistent look and feel of all outgoing proposals.
- Assist in reviewing proposals prior to submission to the customer.
- Assist in owning the management of multiple proposals and their lifecycles, with a focus on project management and quality assurance.
- Support all activities related to the assembly, production, and delivery of a compliant proposal on time, in the format(s) specified.
- Train the Sales organization on proposal topics and best practices as assigned.
- Develop and cultivate strong relationships with relevant areas of the business to help strengthen partnerships and success within the team.
- Advise management on proposal matters.
- Help to drive our FOIA responses rates and work with the proposal team to help collect data to help us to identify best practices and areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Using RFP software to help create efficient, timely and professional RFP responses.
- Help Sales team prefer Demo's of our technology to potential customers and clients.
- Assist in Customer's meetings where needed from a technical and/or sales perspective.
- Help TSM's in lead followup and assist in reaching out to customer/prospects on whitespace opportunities and promotions.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in a similar role in a highvolume proposal writing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technical Writing, English, Communications, or Journalism.
- Direct experience with Federal government bids required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Direct proposal management experience in hightech industry is preferred.
- APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification is an asset.
- Experience in technical writing proposals for education or other key verticals an asset.
