Description
We build and install amazing visual projects for high profile clients (e.g., Arc'teryx, Browns Restaurants, Lululemon, etc.).

Our specialities are custom illuminated signs, displays, public art and architectural elements - everything we do is custom and no two projects are the same.

As our
Draftsperson / Drafter, you will be a key member of our growing business.

Specifically, we will look to you for:

  • Working as part of a team to design signage, wayfinding systems, architectural elements, interactive environments and public art
  • Structural detailing for projects (3D design, detailing of sections / elevations) as required to complete shop drawings

For context, we typically:

  • Build structural elements out of steel and / or aluminum as may be appropriate
  • Form aluminum to necessary shapes for aesthetic detail
  • Machine and install plastics for light diffusion
  • Illuminate using LEDs or glass tube neon
  • 3D rendering (e.g., how does a project look insitu?)
  • Adjusting typography, curves, measurements, etc. to create production and pattern files the goal is to make sure that the item being produced will look absolutely perfect when scaled to full size
  • Production files are what set up machinery, printers, etc. to run
  • Patterns and site measurement files allow our installation crews to function efficiently.
  • Ensuring designs can be built efficiently by collaborating with our talented fabrication team
You will be mentored by our Senior Designer.

As you progress with our company you can expect to:

  • Learn about signage construction and build your knowledge of custom fabrication materials, machinery and methods
  • Start taking a bigger roles in designing signage, wayfinding systems, architectural elements, interactive environments and public art
  • Designs should compliment and integrate into their environment
  • Our work should bring a place to life in such a way that the place clearly communicates its purpose; who and what is contained within the space and the value / significance to its visitors
  • Work on neon sign layouts (i.e., glass bends, etc.)
You will see your work around the Lower Mainland - great for bragging to family and friends about the cool work that you do
