    Description

    The Business Analyst is responsible for improving the overall performance of the company through the analysis of operational data. This position involves becoming intimately knowledgeable with the procedures and operations of the various departments of the company. To succeed in this role, the analyst will need to have sharp business instincts, the ability to complete a project from start to finish without supervision in a timely manner in addition to advanced database and scripting knowledge.

    We are currently exclusively considering applicants who reside in the immediate or surrounding Montreal area and are able to commute into office when required Hybrid or Remote opportunities are available for Montreal residents.

    Responsibilities:


    • Identify through data analysis inefficiencies and opportunities within the companies various operations including: merchandising, marketing, customer service, fulfillment operations, and finance.

    • Develop solutions to inefficiencies and opportunities identified. This will involve:

    • Collaborating with technical teams on the development of internal tools
    • Communicating and negotiating directly with vendors
    • Designing new internal processes and protocols
    • Recommending new strategies for various departments


    • Perform ad-hoc data extraction, analysis, and interpretation

    • Assist the data warehouse team in gathering requirements, designing, testing, and supporting the development of the data warehouse

    • Design and automate routine and self-service reporting solutions in support of strategic company initiatives

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Proficiency in SQL, advanced Excel functionality, macros

    • Experience with reporting tools such as Looker

    • Good business sense (eCommerce, purchasing, finance, accounting, statistics, risk management, economics, project management)

    • Experience with applying advanced mathematical concepts and models in the context of business (inventory forecasting, price elasticity, statistics, etc)

    • Solid oral and written communication skills

    • Ability to perform difficult analytical tasks with little supervision

    • Ability to interface effectively with teammates and other business units

    • Ability to work well independently or with a team

    • Ability to develop methodologies and approaches for new tasks and projects

    • Must be organized with a strong attention to detail Education and Experience:

    • Experience with techniques and tools relevant to data and business intelligence analysis, including a working knowledge of relational databases

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of work experience

    L'analyste d'entreprise est chargé d'améliorer les performances globales de l'entreprise grâce à l'analyse des données opérationnelles. Ce poste implique une connaissance intime des procédures et des opérations des différents départements de l'entreprise. Pour réussir dans cette position, l'analyste devra avoir un sens aigu des affaires, la capacité de mener à bien un projet du début à la fin sans supervision et dans les délais impartis, ainsi qu'une connaissance avancée des bases de données et des scripts.

    Responsabilités :

    • Identifier, grâce à l'analyse des données, les inefficacités et les opportunités au sein des différentes opérations de l'entreprise, notamment : le merchandising, le marketing, le service clientèle, les opérations d'exécution et les finances.

    • Élaborer des solutions aux inefficacités et aux opportunités identifiées. Cela implique

    • Collaborer avec les équipes techniques au développement d'outils internes
    • Communiquer et négocier directement avec les fournisseurs
    • Concevoir de nouveaux processus et protocoles internes
    • Recommander de nouvelles stratégies pour divers départements.


    • Effectuer des extractions, des analyses et des interprétations de données ad hoc.

    • Aider l'équipe chargée de l'entrepôt de données à recueillir les besoins, à concevoir, à tester et à soutenir le développement de l'entrepôt de données

    • Concevoir et automatiser des solutions de reporting de routine et en libre-service à l'appui des initiatives stratégiques de l'entreprise.

    Connaissances, compétences et aptitudes :

    • Maîtrise du langage SQL, des fonctionnalités avancées d'Excel et des macros.

    • Expérience avec des outils de reporting tels que Looker

    • Bon sens des affaires (commerce électronique, achats, finance, comptabilité, statistiques, gestion des risques, économie, gestion de projet)

    • Expérience de l'application de concepts et de modèles mathématiques avancés dans le contexte de l'entreprise (prévision des stocks, élasticité des prix, statistiques, etc.)

    • Solides compétences en communication orale et écrite

    • Capacité à effectuer des tâches analytiques difficiles avec peu de supervision

    • Capacité à s'interfacer efficacement avec les coéquipiers et les autres unités opérationnelles.

    • Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante ou en équipe

    • Capacité à développer des méthodologies et des approches pour de nouvelles tâches et de nouveaux projets

    • Doit être organisé et avoir un grand souci du detail

    Formation et expérience :

    • Expérience des techniques et des outils liés à l'analyse des données et de la veille stratégique, y compris une connaissance pratique des bases de données relationnelles.

    • Baccalauréat ou combinaison équivalente d'expérience professionnelle.
