Description

We are hiring a Dispatcher and Planner for our Milton Ontario Office. The position covers various aspects of line haul and city dispatching including route planning, booking loads, communicating with drivers, supervisors and customers.

You Have

Excellent verbal and written communication.
Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment

years of experience in Trucking/Brokerage or similar environment

Proficient in MS Office and ability to quickly learn trucking dispatch software
Working knowledge of Load link and other Load boards
Aptitude for problemsolving
Ability to work as a team

The Job

Efficiently Schedule, Plan and Dispatch Trucks & Drivers
Accept load tenders, book delivery appointments and schedule pick up date and time.
Communicate with shippers/consignee's and clients to confirm order details, pickup times and delivery times
Communicate all shipment and route details to drivers.
Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
Call customers to advise shipment delays and/or information necessary to process orders, border crossings, and receipt of custom documents for clearance.
Select and dispatch carriers to customer loads
Create of Bills of Lading and any other required documentation
Ensure all information is updated in our System

- track shipments to ensure all appointments are met within designated timelines
