Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating the industrial dishwasher to clean all chinaware, glass ware, dishes, platters, basket, flat ware, cooking ware, kitchen utensils, and thermos containers; store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor and the walkin refrigerators
- Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins
- Follow opening and closing procedures of the kitchen
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
- Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous dishwashing experience an asset
- Food safe certificate an asset
- Must be personable, friendly and outgoing with excellent customer service skills
- High energy and a strong work ethic
