Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for operating the industrial dishwasher to clean all chinaware, glass ware, dishes, platters, basket, flat ware, cooking ware, kitchen utensils, and thermos containers; store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor and the walkin refrigerators
  • Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • Follow opening and closing procedures of the kitchen
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
  • Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Previous dishwashing experience an asset
  • Food safe certificate an asset
  • Must be personable, friendly and outgoing with excellent customer service skills
  • High energy and a strong work ethic
