Overview:


The main responsibility of the Receiving Coordinator is to supervise the quality of materials received from construction sites while ensuring that the protocols in place for receiving activities are followed.


Responsibilities:


Safety:


  • Improve the stability of the material deposit by complying with the protocol for accepting, managing and sampling backfill materials for the presence of destabilising materials.
  • Respect and enforce the group's health and safety rules.
  • When required, participate in the preparation of accident/incident reports and follow up.

Operation:


  • Give authorisations to clients for the disposal of materials on site and ensure the traceability and conformity of these materials.
  • Manage nonconformities and manage various projects and technical data.
  • Write forms for nonconformities and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Approve acceptance forms for residual materials (concrete, asphalt and brick).

Quality assurance:


  • Coordinate with the analysis laboratory, issue requests for chemical analysis, place orders and follow up.
  • Interpret the results of analyses obtained, produce reports and technical opinions, notices of nonconformity and make recommendations.
  • Approve reports, data, information, invoices and customer requests.
  • Validate and compile the results of chemical analyses of material samples.
  • Ensure the quality of the sampling work of the attendants, provide them with the necessary information and work methods.
  • Ensure the quality of the work of subcontractors and clients as well as the respect of internal procedures.

Regulations and audits:


  • Enforce health and safety laws and regulations on the quarry and ensure site stability.
  • Application of environmental laws and regulations, quarry and sandpit regulations, company protocol.
  • Prepare, implement internal environmental monitoring and audits as well as external audits in relation to the material deposit.
  • Carry out site visits and inspections to ensure quality of workmanship.

Continuous improvement:


  • Identify improvement actions, ensure the implementation and verify the results of improvement actions related to the material deposit.

Other tasks:


  • Carry out periodic followup on customer satisfaction.
  • Carry out all other tasks related to his/her field of responsibility.
  • Communicate results to the Soil Storage Supervisor.
  • Replace the Material Depot Coordinator when necessary during his absences.

Relations with other positions:


  • Position reporting to the Site Manager.
  • Collaboration with the soil site production supervisor and other material reception coordinator.

Specific responsibilities:


  • Ensure compliance with the Lafarge protocol in place.
  • Ensuring that the annual internal and external audits are carried out.
  • Ensure compliance with the acceptance of materials by characterising them (type, materials, environment).
  • Ensure compliance with the stability study of the material deposit (reception of the right types of material).

  • Annual plant capacity : 1.35 Mt of material

Qualifications:

Academic background and work experience:
_**- A post-secondary degree in environmental or civil engineering or other related studies.

  • Two (2) years experience in quality control for engineering or civil works, preferably in a unionized environment.
