Position Summary:

As the Business Development Intern, you can get on track and aim high with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada Corporation. The position of Business Development Intern will report directly to the Office of the President.

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting with special projects and various tasks, as well as assisting the Internal Communications and Social Committee team with event coordination.


Responsibilities:


  • Liaise closely with Management concerning day to day tasks for the President and CEO
  • Support in the preparation and consolidation of presentations and reporting
  • Assist and collaborate on projects for the various employee committees
  • Provide support with internal communications
  • Assist in the development and execution of communications campaigns which includes drafting social media content
  • Write articles, post stories and brainstorm new ideas for company intranet
  • Support onsite and offsite event planning including coordination with vendors, setup, and IT testing. Some local travel required.
  • Assist with the Social Committee events including coordination. Provide support with the various external community events and relationship building with community partners.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


Qualifications:


  • Pursuing undergraduate or recently graduated in the area of Business, Finance, Project Management or Marketing.
  • Knowledge in Graphic design and Photoshop is an asset.
  • Able to use active listening skills, as well as, excellent verbal and written communication skills to achieve results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Driven and motivated by a fastpaced environment and have a willingness to learn and be challenged by continual professional development.
  • Thrive on cooperation and collaboration within a team as an enthusiastic individual contributor.
  • Excellent organizational skills; proven the ability to multitask priorities to ensure projects are completed on time.
