Receptionist /
Medical Office Assistant at the
Golden Opportunity Medical Clinic in Wabasca, Alberta.

The Receptionist role will be under the direction of the Office Manager, and primarily be responsible for attending the phone and the reception area scheduling and confirming patient appointments, tests, and follow-ups, and managing physician schedules.
Responsibilities
- Manage external and internal phone lines, and transfer calls to appropriate personnel
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, tests and followups, and manage physician schedules
- Greet and direct patients to appropriate medical resources and/or services
- Give registration forms to patients and ensure forms are properly completed
- Update and maintain electronic medical record system
- Measure and document vital signs on each patient
- Share information collected from patients with the appropriate medical team members
- Provide administrative support and perform clerical duties
- Scan, fax and/or mail documents as required
- Prepare examination rooms with the necessary medical supplies and equipment
- Monitor inventory of medical supplies and materials, and order as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A combination of experience and education will be considered
- 1+ years experience in any administrative or customer service role
- Clinic or healthcare provider experience setting will be an asset
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to manage and learn new software's
- Ability to communicate and work effectively on a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in use of computers and other office equipment
- Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills
