$103,350 - $155,000 (salary band placement to commensurate with experience)

Manager, Energy and Sustainability will oversee Ministry of Environment (MOE) legislative requirement and data submissions.

Collect, review, and evaluate energy consumption data, Interpret, and recommend Green House Gases (GHG) reduction, carbon reduction standards and procedures, with the primary goal of reducing carbon footprint on our environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the development of Facilities De-Risking capital project plan, Hospital Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF), including providing strategic advice related schedules, budgets, and constructability issues.
  • Collect and analyze energy consumption data to promote energy conversation opportunities. Energy and sustainability are a key and emerging focus for THP with the implementation of the Sustainability Committee and ensuring a lowcarbon footprint for the future Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital (PGMH) and Gilgan Family Queensway Health Center.
  • Monitor energy conversation data and publish ECDM Plan as required under O. Reg. 397/11 regulation.
  • Monitoring data for Legislative annual submission of Green House Gases (GHG), National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) and other legislative reporting.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to a team of Project Manager and Project Coordinator to deliver and execute Facilities projects.
  • Oversee the commissioning process to ensure effective training and handover procedures are followed.

Qualifications:


  • University Degree preferably in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or equivalent is required.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is preferred.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) is an asset.
  • Minimum of 57 years of experience in management of health projects, involving construction and commissioning
  • Superior communications skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
