This includes ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll, jurisdictional compliance and leading the team in the completion of day-to-day tasks, while prioritizing other activities.

Ensure employees are paid accurately and on-time: coordinating payroll processes; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data in the payroll processing systems.
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential and accurate recordkeeping.Manage payroll team member responsibilities and accountabilities by monitoring workflow, team assignments, processing deadlines and managing performance.
Strong understanding of federal, provincial and state legal requirements; monitoring adherence to compliance requirements, advising management on needed actions.
Provides consultative services to Human Resources and the Business Lines on Payroll related queries and acts as a supportive educator in regards to payroll compliance.
Contributes to the design of processes and programs to support payroll processes.Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands
Analytical mindset and ability to remain objective and confidential when viewing data.
CPA and/or APA certification an asset.
~5+ years' experience in payroll field, or equivalent experience in accounting with some payroll processing experience. Experience with Workday is preferred.
