Position Overview

We're actively seeking dynamic and imaginative interns who are passionate about data analytics and interested in learning about asset management.

While contributing to different facets of our business and innovative features, your core responsibilities will revolve around dTIMS BA configurations, data exports, transformations & loads as well as reviewing and executing PowerBI workspaces, among other duties.

Working alongside other engineers and under the guidance of one of our Implementation Leads, the day-to-day duties of the Intern will be divided into 4 main categories:

dTIMS BA (Deighton Total Infrastructure Management System Business Analytics)
PowerBI & Reporting
Internal Processes
Other dTIMS Products

TIMS BA:
is the primary and most mature product we offer to our clients. Customizability and leveraging the dTIMS product environment are paramount to its success.

Duties include:

Complete Data Exports, Transformations, Loads (ETL)
Review dTIMS BA configurations, amalgamation of dTIMS BA objects, and complete updates if necessary
Assist with documentation of BA implementations (Business Requirements, Functional requirements, UAT scripts, Implementation Reports)
Execute UAT Test Scripts
PowerBI & Reporting

Complete Data Export, Transform, Load (ETL)
Review PowerBI Workspaces, Paginated Reports and SSRS reports
Assist with documentation of Dashboard implementations (Business Requirements, Functional requirements, UAT scripts, Implementation Reports)
Execute UAT Test Scripts
Internal Processes

Participate in daily standups and weekly scrum ceremonies to review Implementation team tasks, providing updates on personal task assignments
Assist with catalog environment updates cataloging all aspects and uses of dTIMS BA environments. When, where, who are using what level and number of environments
Other dTIMS Products

:

- dTIMS OM & dTIMS Inspect - assisting the engineers & project team members as needed to meet project objectives

Completion of weekly timesheets and all other corporate compliance actions as per corporate policy

Required Skills:

12 or 16month internship terms available
Completion of an undergraduate STEM degree or pursuing a degree in a STEM related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics). Civil Engineering or Data Analytics related fields of study, an asset
Solid understanding of database concepts
Intermediate Experience in SQL
Experience with PowerBI, SSRS or any related Reporting tool
Strong documentation skills
Strong Microsoft Suite skills
Experience in any statistical tool, an asset
