Career Opportunity:


  • Designs, coordinates, implements, facilitates, and evaluates a variety of staff, leadership, management, and human resources related training and development programs. This includes training workshops and programs on safety, leadership, harassment, violence, appropriate workplace conduct and conflictresolution to support other corporate programs and initiatives. The role also develops, recommends, and implements employee career development strategies and career counselling as well as other oneonone counselling. Delivers services both in person and virtually.

What You Will Do:


  • Design, coordinate, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise (as necessary) a variety of staff, leadership, management and human resources related training and development programs, both in person and virtually.
  • Provide guidance or information on a given topic, providing support as needed (through training, information sessions, or other methods).
  • Counsel and educate employees as a result of workplace harassment, workplace violence, inappropriate conduct, and/or conflictrelated issues.
  • Ensure work practices are following all policy and legislation requirements.
  • Provide expertise and consultation on various training and supervisory/leadership issues and concerns.
  • Review or collect data using a variety of research techniques (occupational analyses, surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, and questionnaires) regarding a topic area, and analyze and provide recommendations and changes as required.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Help to remove barriers and accommodate employees and customers (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies.
  • Participate in the TTC customer service Ambassador Program.

    What Qualifications Do You Bring?:
  • Certificate/Diploma in Adult Education/Training & Development combined with several years of directly related work experience, including a minimum of 3 years of management and leadership skills training experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the techniques and methodologies related to training needs assessment and program design, facilitation and evaluation.
  • Good understanding of management, supervisory, leadership, personal and professional development principles and practices.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience related to one on one sensitivity counselling and career and educational counselling.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills; good written communication skills; and welldeveloped interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse client base.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and the ability to operate and troubleshoot a variety of audiovisual/computer teaching aids.
  • Sound knowledge of the OH&S Act and regulations and familiarity with health and safety programs (incident investigation, workplace inspection and hazard/risk assessment) as well as sound knowledge of Bill 168 and AODA are assets
  • Knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety and experience in a unionized work environment are also assets.
