Job Summary:

As the Site Superintendent, your primary role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they adhere to the outlined project plan.

Working closely with the Directors and management, you play a pivotal role in organizing, directing, and managing on-site activities to achieve project objectives.

You are an integral part of the operations team, responsible for the successful execution of all construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Initiate project startup activities, ensuring clarity of documentation and scope with the Project Manager.
• Collaborate with the management to review and refine project plans as necessary.
• Provide leadership and guidance to all trades and contractors onsite.
• Address and troubleshoot projectrelated issues, escalating when necessary for resolution.
• Facilitate all project closeout activities.
• Maintain clear communication with subcontractors to ensure project progress and expectations are met.
• Manage risks and problemsolve throughout various project phases.
• Serve as a liaison with Owners/Clients, ensuring mutual understanding and satisfaction.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to Acadian's clients, fostering positive relationships.
• Ensure all trades receive adequate safety training and possess necessary skills for their duties.
• Conduct regular inspections of work performed by trades and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Complete necessary documentation such as payroll on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

• At least 7yrs of site superintendent experience in a similar role, preferably in commercial or institutional settings. Five years' experience is advantageous.
• Thorough understanding of standard commercial construction practices and codes.
• Trade certification (e.g., electrician) is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Postsecondary diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• Possession of certifications such as GSC, CET, or P.Eng is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
