Arts and Crafts Instructor - Pottery Instructor:

Contract

The North Vancouver Recreation & Culture is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families and communities.

NVRC offers a wide range of recreation, social, health and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities.


You will:


  • Prepare and lead recreational clay courses for adults
  • Plan and implement appropriate activities for participants' skill level
  • Ensure safety of instructional environment

YOU HAVE:


  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively teach pottery and sculpture to adults
  • Ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment with different personalities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


High Five:
Principles of Healthy Child Development certification, Emergency Childcare First Aid or equivalent, and pottery experience. Previous experience teaching is an asset.


Specific Days/Hours:


Delbrook Community Recreation Centre - Available for spring classes on various days and time for children's pottery and/or Thursday nights beginning in July for Adult Pottery classes.


Parkgate Community Recreation Centre - Available Thursdays 9:00am-12:00pm to teach 'All Levels Grassroots Sculpture for Adults' and Fridays 9:00am-12:00pm to teach 'Adult Pottery - Intermediate.

Hourly Rate:
$ $26.00 per hour, plus 4% in lieu of benefits based on education and experience
