    Description

    PAL Technical Services, a key member of the PAL Group, is a prominent player in the international aerospace and defense sector specializing in surveillance aircraft, maintenance checks, and software applications. Our services cater to both local and global markets through entities like PAL Airlines and PAL Aerospace. We are on the lookout for a Safety Management System Lead to bolster our team in St. John's, NL, and steer safety operations across the PAL Group of Companies. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) by overseeing safety reporting, quality practices, and operational processes.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and update safety and quality reporting systems diligently
    • Support company SMS programs by following established protocols
    • Conduct thorough investigations and root cause analyses as needed
    • Stay updated on aviation regulations and safety standards
    • Provide oversight to quality and SMS coordinators
    • Undertake internal audits as required

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • 5 years of proven experience in SMS processes
    • Preferably 3-5 years in Aviation or Transportation Sector
    • Familiarity with Canadian Aviation Regulations
    • Leadership experience is a plus
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills
    • Proficient in risk analysis and root cause investigations
    • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines
