Job Description

We're looking for a driven individual to oversee the Northern Canada region, based in either Whitehorse or Yellowknife. The ideal candidate will manage Dawson City, Inuvik, Whitehorse, Yellowknife, Hay River and High Level. A great communicator with top-notch negotiation, interpersonal, and organizational skills is key. The focus will be on directing and coordinating region activities to maximize equipment, facilities, and personnel usage. Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure profitability and efficiency of all terminals - monitoring freight levels, reviewing financials, daily revenue and cost analysis, etc.
Collaborate with management to develop and enforce administrative and operational policies and procedures.
Work with terminal managers to uphold service standards, address exceptions, and resolve issues.
Handle human resource matters such as discipline, grievances, and layoffs.
Support, mentor, train, and nurture staff.
Address customer service concerns by investigating failures, claims, and implementing procedures for improvement.
Collaborate with sales team to maintain service quality, identify customer needs, pursue new business opportunities.
Oversee each terminal's direction, coordination, and performance evaluation.
Supervise staff in line with organization policies and laws, including hiring, training, work assignment, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
Expect long hours and travel.
