About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home.

Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start & end times.


About you:

You are a self-motivated, driven and personable procurement specialist who is results-focused and resourceful in overcoming obstacles. You act with a sense of urgency whilst paying close attention to the details. You will use your excellent communication & interpersonal skills to interact and build relationships with internal & external stakeholders.

You have a go-getter attitude who is eager to learn and isn't afraid to step out of the comfort zone.


About you / qualifications:


  • 35 years of progressive experience working in procurement and/or purchasing roles
  • Good working knowledge of endtoend procurement flows (negotiation, contracting, onboarding, maintenance, offboarding)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with an ability to improve processes
  • Strong proficiency with accounting and invoicing systems
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Jira, Confluence, Visio, SharePoint, and other productivity tools
  • Process mapping and process improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, procurement, supply chain, or applicable equivalent

About the day-to-day:


  • Own, build, manage, and execute on vendor and contractor procurements, tracking/reporting, invoicing, and financial reconciliation
  • Understand business needs, prepare proposals, request quotes, put together SOWs, and administer signoffs
  • Facilitate the onboarding process once vendors and contractors are selected
  • Facilitate the renewal of existing agreements as needed or offboarding when terms of the SOW are complete
  • Facilitate termination of existing agreements for non performance
  • Identify areas for improvement and automation to iteratively streamline the procurement process
  • Work with Compliance and P&C for any regulatory considerations as part of procurements
  • Train and coach junior team members to be able to support the procurement function
