-What We're Looking For_
Working closely with our Corporate Controller and accounting team, the
Accounting Administrator is a multi-faceted role which works directly with operations, accounting staff, to support financial accounting and reporting, treasury, cash management, and bank reporting.
What you do:_
- Accounts Receivable_
- Post payments to accounts
- Prepare and process bank deposits
- Process adjustments, receivable writeoffs and payment reversals;
- Resolve and follow up on Customer account issues and liaise with operations
- Accounts Payable_
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Generally responding to vendor enquiries regarding finance
- Audit and process credit card transactions
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
- Other_
- Identifies accounting problems, researches possible solutions and accounting policies, and makes recommendations to the Senior Accountant and/or Controller and assists with the implementation of agreed upon solutions.
- Other duties and projects, as required
What you bring:_
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration, preferred not required
- 3+ years accounting experience.
- Superior communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Plan independently, prioritize and coordinate a diverse set of activities to consistently meet targets
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to recognize as well as assess emerging issues and situations objectively, think creatively, and make sound recommendations
- Positive attitude, outgoing and driven.
