Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop weekly work plans in collaboration with other trade specific Crew Chiefs, Production Managers and Planning Leads to ensure weekly project production targets are attainable
  • Communication and coordination of all workflow to trade specific Lead Hands for execution to achieve weekly production targets
  • Responsible for management of all in trade Engineering requests/concerns/follow up.
  • Partner with all Production Departments to improve performance, reduce cost and gain production efficiency
  • Promote interdepartmental communication and coordination
  • Address production issues/concerns reduce impact of work stoppages and production delays.
  • Bridge all production shifts (A/C, B/D, E, F) to ensure cross shift communications and work plan alignment
  • Coordinate parts and materials requirements to support weekly plan objectives
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Companies policies and procedures
  • Appraise performance, address complaints and resolve problems
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
  • Daily update of Aircraft Status Boards and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) boards
  • Provide daily status review updates to Production Manager to ensure all Production concerns are addressed
  • Perform any other related project or task as required
  • Work Schedule 12 hour/day 445 rotation
Supervisory/Crew Chief Duties

  • Directly supervise production Lead Hands in associated trade
  • Coordinate workflow to achieve weekly production targets and project milestones
  • Provide Leadership, Direction, Mentorship and Training to Production Lead Hands
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance and progress of production Lead Hands and completing performance review assessments
  • Provide recommendations to Production Manager on administrative actions to correct poor performance or workplace behavior in accordance with company directives
  • Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork by promoting a positive work culture within the workforce and ensure set productivity and performance targets are met
Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with appropriately rated Transport Canada license
  • Experience on CL215, CL215T and CL415 are considered an asset
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Experience leading people with demonstrated teambuilding skills
