Overview:
Providing an exceptional member dining experience is our top priority. With your positive energy, you bring good communications skills, a genuine demeanor, and a passion for creating creative dishes.
Guided by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, you will partner with the front-of-house team to deliver fantastic dishes to our membership and guests.
Wage: $ $21.00/hour + gratuities
Availability: Morning and evening shifts are available. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
This is a seasonal position from June to September/October .
Responsibilities:
Assist with purchasing, receiving, and preparing quality ingredients, to ensure the highest level of satisfaction.
Work with the team to develop, maintain and follow correct food storage systems.
Observe and absorb the fundamentals of food preparation and presentation.
Perform banquet preparation to correct quantities and assist with setting up buffets, barbecues, and receptions.
Help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen areas.
Remain up-to-date with food trends by monitoring local restaurants, clubs and reading relevant information.
Assist in the continuous effort to ensure smooth and efficient work and service flows.
Promote team spirit between kitchen and service staff.
Be a team player and assist others when required.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the food services industry.
Knowledge of food services industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Multi- tasking proficiency and ability to prioritize.
Ability to withstand extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions.
