    As a dedicated Social Care Specialist, Cancer Support, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals affected by cancer.     This position requires strong assessment and treatment skills, as well as effective communication and interpersonal abilities. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and caregivers to develop comprehensive plans of care that address the unique needs of each client.


    In this role, you will:


    • Conduct thorough social and psychosocial assessments of clients and their families

    • Develop personalized plans of care that address complex psychosocial situations

    • Liaise with healthcare teams, community agencies, and caregivers to ensure seamless delivery of services

    • Promote autonomy through education, empowerment, and advocacy for clients' rights




    This position requires:

    The following qualifications are necessary for success in this role:

    • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
    ​
    • Current registration with the BC College of Social Workers
    ​
    • Minimum two years’ recent clinical experience working with vulnerable populations.
